The Perfect Rectitude For A Holy Life

Coffee With God: Feb 6th, 2023 | Romans 3:21-22

21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

God’s righteousness. The perfect rectitude of a holy, loving, spotless Lord has been made available to all people through faith. The longer I live this life in Jesus, the more convinced I am that God’s righteousness is meant to change our record and the way we think about ourselves (see Romans 6 for more on that). God has made us right. He has blotted out every wrong deed that once formed a record of condemnation against us. When we put our trust in Jesus, we were declared “not guilty” by the court of heaven. The more we let that truth sink in, the more we lay hold of that reality by faith, the more transformed we become.

Living a holy life is intentional. It starts here; by getting this truth – God has made us right through our faith in Jesus – into our hearts. If we do, we will live holier lives by faith than we ever did by our best efforts.
