Coffee With God: Feb 7th, 2023 | Numbers 10:32
“And if you do go with us, whatever good the Lord will do to us, the same will we do to you.”
The goodness of God is meant to flow like a spring of water from one vessel to the next. I once was hiking in the California backcountry and came across one such spring. I placed my Nalgene bottle underneath the bubbling water and watched as it instantly filled to the brim. After taking a long drink, I passed my bottle back to another member of my team, who then used it to fill his bottle. The process was repeated until every team member had a full bottle.
The goodness of God runs in the same way. As God fills our lives with his steadfast love and grace, that goodness overflows into the lives of others. It’s easy to get lost in the busyness of life and forget why we’re here. God wants to reveal his goodness to the world through the lives of his children, constantly filled up by his steadfast love. If you need a reminder regarding God’s love for you, please take a moment and meditate on the cross of Jesus Christ. It’s the place where God redeemed you.
